A truly inspirational motivational
speaker has to inspire an audience to think outside the box, and beyond the box
we call life there is nothing more inspirational than the afterlife.
In a recent interview on NBC’s Today
Show, Dr. Jeffrey Long explains some of the evidence of life after death that
the research of near death experiences gives us. The first evidence that he
mentions is the study by Kenneth Ring of 31 blind people where 80% were able to
see during their near death experience. But he also explains that the fact that
people, even very young children, describe almost identical elements of the
experience points to the experience being universal and not made up.
On the reporter’s question on how we
can be sure these experiences are not hallucinations caused by drugs, Dr. Long
uses the answer of universality. However, another answer could be the case of
Pam Reynolds who had flat EEG, no brain activity, during her near death
experience. Drugs, chemical reactions in the brain and hallucinations would all
show up on an EEG, as brain function and this suggests that these explanations
fall short.
How millions
of people all over the world can report the same phenomena beyond death and
have clear conscious experience when the brain is inactive is the strongest
evidence we have of life after death.

Rene Jorgensen is an exciting speaker who gives direct
glimpses into life after death through his expert knowledge of Near Death
Experiences. He is a philosopher, member of the International Association for
Near Death Studies and author of three books on the topic.
Near Death Experiences often happen to people who have been
clinically dead and who are then successfully resuscitated. As direct witnesses
to what lies beyond death, people who have been brought back from the other
side are the most reliable sources of information about life after death.
There are many theories that try to explain the Near Death
Experience, such as the theory that it happens within the brain through the
loss of oxygen or blood flow. This
theory, along with all other skeptical theories, has a major problem which
means that no theory to date is able to explain the Near Death Experience.
Near Death Experiences have been reported during flat EEG
where the brain has stopped functioning, and in such a state, normally
associated with coma or brain death, no conscious experience should be
possible. The phenomenon is therefore a challenging paradox, where science
meets spirituality, and it is thereby a very interesting topic to speak about:
